How do pharmaceutical trolls keep getting in here? Don't they have to be specifically approved? Are they actually emailing Ulf? Are trolls getting that smart these days?

No, apparently legitimate type users were finding the sign-up procedures too difficult, so I made it self-verification, which trolls are smart enough to get around. I'm still researching better ways to prevent trolls, but as this is not my job and I only work with free software, it's slow going.

To the mods, remember I'm not the only one that can delete troll posts.

Do you think maybe we should use something other than Simple Machines? Perhaps there is a better forum client?

Like I said, looking into it. But I discovered SMF back when I was unemployed and could spend days at a time learning about webmastering. It's what I know. If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Can you grant different levels of something. Like once person A makes an account can't you make him/her/it post on board X? Until they promoted in a since? That way it's at least contained to one board and not ALL of them.

Tried that didn't work. Also tried requiring people to email me to get their accounts activated, but apparently that was too complicated for real humans to understand.
