I'm an addict. I made a new character after beating the game and played him sunday, but now I want to make more characters.
I've even got the next two planned out, down to what perks I will take every level. I did this when I was supposed to be paying attention in class...
My next character I will make tonight or tomorrow... He will be Dr. Zap, with a 10 int and skills in energy weapons, medicine and science.
Then Rad Bastard, who will have a 3 str and End, but who will have a 10 luck and 8 agility, and will be super sneaky and speechy. When he does need to fight, he will have all the perks that maximize sneak attack criticals, so at level 16 he should do +70% damage with every sneak attack. Of course, he is going to be using pretty crappy weapons, though... Of course, I'm looking forward to this fact, because otherwise I never get to use the crappy weapons. He will be all pistols, the .22 smg, and a fully upgraded varmint rifle.
Then I'm sure I'll make at least one other character...
So man, when does the first DLC drop?

No, it is Big. I looked it up over the weekend to see who sung it.
Big iron as in large pistol... I don't see how pig iron makes any sense.

I admit I have yet to do their questline so I haven't heard Caesar's justifications for murdering and enslaving everyone they meet.

Oh.
I've been playing an energy weapons character, and I took the meltdown perk.
Be careful if you take this perk. It makes everything you kill explode. These explosions will damage you/your companions. Once you have the perk you can't turn it off. It helps more than it hurts, and it looks cool, but I really wish you could turn it off.
When you shoot someone with the alien blaster, they explode very violently, and the explosion usually kills everyone near them, causing them to explode also. It is pretty dangerous. I guess the blast is proportional to the amount of damage the ranged weapon does.
Aside from that, I'm not a huge fan of energy weapons in this game. Their DAM is too low. While they are fine against lightly armored opponents and can do lots of DPS, they pretty much suck against armor. The Gauss rifle has high DAM, but it is single-shot, so it doesn't have a very good rate of fire and isn't very good close up.
I need to finish the legend of the star and get pew pew, the laser pistol with a 75 dam. Just uses 15 energy cells per shot...
