Rules: write one sentence to continue the story. You can write anything, but only one sentence, and try to make it make sense (it should in some way relate to previous sentences).
Also, much like in Rondo, anything written is canon, so you can't overrule previous posts (unless they don't make any sense or themselves contradict previous posts). Also, once something like a general setting develops, don't stray from it without good reason.
Start:
Jack was luckier than he was smart, which was the reason he was still alive despite numerous unwise choices.

For Jack you see was a thief, but he was no ordinary thief, he was the world's worst thief.

Hoping to elevate himself from this woeful status, he was now standing in front of the First State Bank, his hands in the pockets of his black hoodie sweatily gripping the small .38 caliber revolver that he had taken from his own senile grandmother with whom he had been living.

Upon reflection under the pressure of the actual impending heist, he wondered if perhaps there was a bit more to it than Sly let on, and if Sly was actually the best thief as he claimed to be.

"Well," Jack said, "Do or die, says I," and he walked into the bank.

There was an agonizingly long line in front of each teller's window.

He felt like everyone was staring at him, as he took his place in one of the lines.

After an eternity he found himself in front of the teller's window, staring at the middle aged woman through the plexiglass shield.

The woman hands him a withdrawal slip, telling him to fill in his account number.

Jack is truly startled to hear the woman say "everything seems to be in order sir, have a nice day" as she hands him an envelope containing $10,000

Not sure what to do now that he had succeeded, he stumbled back out of the bank, almost running into the security guard.

shortly after he leaves, a plainclothes courier arrives to make the very same withdrawal that Jack was mistakenly authorized for.
